This Privacy Policy describes how PropJournal ("we", "our", or "the app") handles your information. PropJournal is a personal trading journal designed for prop firm traders. We are committed to protecting your privacy.

1. Information We Collect

PropJournal does not collect, transmit, or share any personal data with us or any third party. All trading data, notes, photos, voice recordings, and account information you enter are stored:

Locally on your device using Apple's standard storage (UserDefaults and the app's Documents directory).
Optionally in your private iCloud account via Apple's iCloud Key-Value Store, if you have iCloud enabled. This sync is end-to-end between your own devices — we have no access to it.

2. Data We Do Not Collect

We do not use any analytics SDKs (no Google Analytics, no Firebase, no Mixpanel, etc.).
We do not use any advertising or tracking frameworks.
We do not collect your name, email, location, IP address, or device identifiers.
We do not have any servers that receive your data.

3. Voice Notes and Transcription

If you choose to record voice notes, the audio is stored locally in your device's Documents directory. Voice transcription is performed on-device using Apple's SFSpeechRecognizer framework. Transcripts are not sent to our servers (we don't have any) and are stored only with the trade you attached them to.

4. Photos

Chart screenshots and other images you attach to trades are stored locally on your device. They are never uploaded.

5. Subscriptions and Payments

PropJournal offers an optional auto-renewing subscription ("PropJournal Premium") processed entirely by Apple via the App Store and StoreKit. We never see, receive, or store your payment information. All billing, refunds, and subscription management are handled by Apple under their own privacy policy.

Manage or cancel subscriptions anytime via Settings → [Your Name] → Subscriptions on your iPhone or iPad.

6. Permissions Requested by the App

Microphone — only when you record a voice note. Audio is stored locally.
Speech Recognition — for on-device transcription of your voice notes.
Photo Library — only when you attach a photo to a trade.
Notifications — optional, used for daily summary reminders if you enable them.

You can revoke any of these permissions at any time in iOS Settings.

7. Children's Privacy

PropJournal is not directed at children under 13 and does not knowingly collect any data from them. The app is not intended for use by minors.

8. Data Deletion

To delete all your data, simply uninstall the app from your device. If you have iCloud sync enabled, you can remove the data from iCloud via Settings → [Your Name] → iCloud → Manage Storage.

9. Third-Party Services

PropJournal does not integrate with any third-party services that would receive your data. The only external service used is Apple's StoreKit for processing the optional subscription, governed by Apple's Privacy Policy.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy occasionally. The "Last updated" date at the top will reflect any revisions. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
